The headquarters of Espina & Delfin S.L., located in Tambre Industrial Estate in Santiago de Compostela, sits the foundation of our human and technical structure, in premises covering 9,500m2.
In addition to the engineering departments, laboratories and workshops the building also holds the main part of our machinery and vehicle pool, comprised of our recently acquired advanced technology machines.
As an example of our forefront technology, the electromechanical and boiler workshops are the most advanced in our region. This provides the company complete independence and guarantees a quick, efficient and economical response to emergency situations.
With an extensive range of machinery, the majority recent acquisitions, our company has the necessary infrastructure to deal with any kind of public work. The following table shows a short review of some of the machinery.
Our laboratories are another our strong points because every process is controlled to ensure the supply of healthy, quality water. In addition, our laboratories guarantee that treated sewage discharge is effectively followed-up.
ESPINA Y DELFIN S.L., has in its headquarters in Santiago de Compostela a laboratory, where different analytical determinations are made in order to ensure proper sanitary control and the quality of drinking water, as well as the parameters for discharge of sewage treated.
The Laboratory is certified by AENOR following the UNE – EN ISO 9001 Quality Standard (Registration Number ER-0490/1/98). And it has obtained the accreditation that recognizes its technical competence to perform wastewater tests in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Standard. This accreditation has been granted by the National Accreditation Entity (ENAC) and completes the credentials of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 obtained in 1998 and 2002, respectively.

Apart from the forenamed and to fulfil with regulations about drinking water, our laboratories are autorized to perform control tests to determine the quality of drinking water according to the requirements of Dirección General de Salud Pública del Ministerio de Sanidad y Consumo (Madrid), Rexistro Galego de Laboratorios Autorizados in control test andDirección Xeral de Saúde Pública (Consellería de Sanidade – Xunta de Galicia) con el nº de registro 070/GA.
To accomplish with the sanitary regulations described in the Real Decreto 140/2003, ESPINA Y DELFIN S.L. also has 18 portable laboratories.
Apart from the team assigned to the Central Laboratory, ESPINA Y DELFIN S.L. has signed cooperation agreements with differents educational institutions with the object to develop within the company a portion of the training program of students following the education system and high university cycles in the fields of drinking water and wastewater.
